My Students

Our students come from low social-economic backgrounds, inner-city living conditions, are African American or other minority groups. Many of them come from multi-generational families, with many siblings attending the school as well as their parents having previously attended the same school. 97% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. There is a real sense of community at this school. With your donations to our students, they are sure to become great thinkers, feelers, and doers in today's society. Additionally, they will be more organized, tech-savvy, ready, and enabled to take on the world.

My Project

Middle and/or High school students will teach younger students from within the shool and local community how to do coding during our after school enrichment program. To successfully, complete this task, our computer lab needs USB-connected 3-button optical mouse clickers and the students need coding instructional workbooks.

These coding workbooks and mouse clickers will help ensure our Kids for Coding service project is ready to go so the students can complete their coding projects.

Students will use the coding workbooks to learn how to code to create fun games, projects, and animations. The Minecraft educational activity book introduces kids to the world of coding through the Minecraft.
