This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are strong and resilient adolescents who face many challenges. They come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside their small community. My students also face challenges due to language barriers and different disabilities.

My students are creative, clever and very enthusiastic about learning despite the hardships they are facing with school being closed, they are eager learners.

All of my students are on alternate curriculum. They would benefit from a variety of classroom resources to help increase their success as most of my students do not have access to supplies in their homes.

My Project

Please help me give my students learning materials for home and distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. My students are on alternate curriculum and require adapted hands-on learning materials. I am not able to prepare materials at school due to the quarantine in Los Angeles. Help me provide them with the materials they need by allowing me to create their resources at home.

I need a binding and laminating machine to create resources at home for my students.

With the laminating and binding machine I will be able to provide each student with organized and individualized resources based on their needs.

With this project you will not only help me create the resources my students need, you will also allow me to provide them with incentives and motivation during this new learning model. Help me provide my students with the resources and incentives they need to finish the school year from home.
