My Project

These treats will encourage my students to get their bodies moving. The effects of the pandemic are still very apparent and our students are not in the best shape. In my dance room, students learn how to move their bodies creatively. This is no easy task as many of my students are sitting down all day. Each day in my classroom, they have an opportunity to earn a star for moving their bodies the best they can and completing their work. When they earn 10 stars, they have earned a treat from my treasure chest!

By the end of the year, my students understand that rewards must be earned through hard work.

My students absolutely love my incentive system. They are constantly asking me how many stars they have so they can figure out how many they need to get to the treasure chest. When students work hard they deserve to be rewarded.

I love seeing the joy on my students' faces when they realize they've finally earned 10 stars. It's that moment when they realize all their hard work has paid off.
