My Project

My classroom is Special Education SLC (Structured Learning Class). My students have an advantage to be greater than what they already are, but I want them to be the greatest. All my students have one form of ASD (autism spectrum disorder). They are considered non-verbal, but some do have a capacity to speak their wants and needs. We match pictures, words, and objects. My students are visual and hands on learners and the curriculum that we use is Unique Learning. There are several hands-on projects we do that help gain academics as well as give them their sensory needs. If you were to walk into my classroom, you would see colorful student projects on the walls. Please help my student to continue to work and have fun. I have been teaching in the same class for 20 years and I’m always willing to change with the times and just have fun with the work that I love to come to everyday.
