Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students need fun, quick, and durable word work centers. I want them to use their word work time efficiently while I work with small groups. It would also be great to have Common Core workbooks for writing and comprehension. We already use them for math and they are great!

My students live in a high needs area in Nevada.

We are a multicultural school and we embrace diversity. We live in an area where children need a lot of educational support. My students are amazing and the sweetest kids you could ask for. They love learning and proud of their achievements.

My Project

I am requesting a complete set of word work cards. These cards are durable and they are all part of the Common Core Standards. The cards cover contractions, parts of speech, abbreviations, plural nouns, verb endings, fact and opinion, main idea, comparing and contrasting as well as phonics. I am also requesting a writing and comprehension workbooks for each of my students. The workbooks are aligned to the Common Core Standards.

This project is so important because my students need as much word work as possible.

If they build their vocabulary their reading and writing scores will improve. Most of my students are Spanish speakers and they only speak Spanish at school. Others need to build their vocabulary and increase their comprehension.
