I always have an excitable bunch of Kinders that are learning, creating, making memories, and having fun! These little ones always just melt my heart. Kindergarteners are genuine and have a passion to figure out how the world around them works.
We are a low-income, high trauma school.
Most years, many of my students enter the door with baggage that no little one should bear. Even with this, my students are RESILIENT. They find the good in themselves and each other. The best thing about them is their big hearts for one another.
Every day is a blessing to be able to work with our youngest learners.
My Project
This project is meant to provide each child with a specialized manipulative to learn sight words. Each week, the material will be rotated out so students have a chance to learn in many different ways. These materials will make sight words and word building a fun task to do every day.
My list includes materials for bead work, sponge painting, stamping, magnetic letters connectors, and letter cutouts.
These are open-ended materials so each child can work on their own word lists and still have fun with learning!
By contributing to this project, you are helping little minds who are learning in person. Due to COVID protocol, materials have to be distributed differently. These manipulatives will be added to my current word work centers so every student in my class has a unique activity during our language arts centers.
