This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are eager learners. They are excited to learn. My students are young and do best with hands on materials. They love to work in small groups and are happy to try new things.
The goal for these materials is to help students with letter sound recognition and blending to build words.
The word building mats and letter tiles will help students be more engaged during word building. The letter tiles can be used separately for letter/sound recognition before moving on to word building. This material is very versatile as I can use it differently to target different learning levels.
