Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Throughout the year, I have had the opportunity to work with over 200 middle schoolers. During this time, students were gifted with one-to-one instruments that they could take home and practice. Unfortunately, due to financial burdens with parents and the fact we are a TITLE I school, the reeds and other equipment I had for students was used up within the first three months. I have asked parents to donate reeds. Consequently, due to many demands, they have not been capable of doing so.

Therefore, I am asking for your help in donating to purchase reeds, for both clarinet and saxophone players, to continue their journeys on instruments without the strain of wondering how they would financially provide reeds for themselves.

The goal is to have an end-of-the-year concert. What makes my students special is how they are capable of learning their instruments and music so quickly. I’m amazed at how they learned in such little time. Your donation will help students prepare. Thank you in advance.
