My Students

My students are fifth graders who have grown up in Houston, Texas. My students will work hard to develop multiple aspects of themselves because, we got GRIT, we don't quit! Students in my class show grit by working hard with tasks that are given because they want to complete it to the best of their ability. They believe that the things they are being taught in class are beneficial. They also use their personal future goals to motivate them to work hard on the task at hand because they see the connection between what they are doing in class and the things they want to achieve later in life.

My Project

Every year as a teacher I claim that the upcoming school year will be different. This school year has truly began to stretch myself as well as my students into virtual learners. In September, all of my students began their school year virtually. While it has presented some challenges, we have persevered and done our best to make lemonade from our lemons. As we transition back into the classroom, we are preparing for our new normal. The supplies listed will help us return to the classroom safely and still be able to complete assignments efficiently and effectively.
