My Project

As a Kindergarten teacher for 19 years, the one thing I have continued to always find difficult is managing to attend to every students individual needs daily. Running around from table to table to try to assist with writing tasks becomes exhausting and unproductive. In addition , teaching reading in Kindergarten requires consistent daily meetings with guided reading groups. Usually I have my class meet in a circle on the floor but I am often interrupted and then loose my students to the many distractions. I have to send them back to their own seats to complete any follow up assignments. With this new table I will be able to provide my students with a comfortable area to focus on reading/writing tasks and I am able to devote my full attention to a variety of groups on a daily basis.
