My Project

I work with a very diverse population of students who have access to limited art materials. March is Women’s History Month and I would like my students to have the experience of learning and creating artwork in the style of Louise Nevelson, who was an artist based in New York City. Your contribution to this project will give my students access to learning, and a chance to shine through their creativity. They will also learn about a female artist who used reused wood pieces to create interesting pieces of art. My students are always eager to learn how to explore the use of unfamiliar arts materials. I am asking for wood shapes and neon tempera paint which will be used to paint their wood assemblages (sculptures) once completed. Thank You!
