My Students

The Wonderful World of Robotics

Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will.

Zig Ziglar

Positive thinking is essential during this time of distance learning. My students had to deal with many hardships this season, but I always tell them to have the positive in all situations. My students are eager learners, I love to see the "light bulb" moment that shines across their faces and within their eyes, when they have grasped a new concept within my lesson. Throughout this trying season, I have emphasized to my students find something positive to focus on whether it was a favorite book, song, or game. We will be stronger at the end of the journey.

My Project

Robotics and S.T.E.M. are important elements of design for all students to gain a new skill set. The Wondrous World of Robotics will expose my students to constructing and operating their own robot. The donations made to this project will unveil a new discovery to my students that have never been exposed to the concept of creating, designing, and programming their own robot. The idea of robotics or S.T.E.M. is not apart of their mindset or their home life. They also see robotics as a challenge that they are not willing to face, I want to open their minds to the experience this exciting world of robotics. These resources will be the first step towards their journey into robotics. During a science lesson, my students will learn how engineers begin with an idea, intricate planning, then they begin to design their robot. It's crucial to immersed my students with the notion of creating something from a simple idea. They would never consider that most things within their world start from an idea. This project will help foster all of my students' imagination for greatness within robotics.

"My mission is life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style."
