Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We began our theatre program during COVID-19. This is our first year being able to produce full productions for our students and community. Many of our students do not have access to performing arts programs outside of school. We believe strongly that participating in theatre is a crucial outlet for our students, teaching them confidence, public speaking, team work, and responsibility. This year, our theatre, voice, and dance classes are working on an adaptation of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz with a punk rock twist! We look forward to producing the show in May.
