This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please consider donating towards cardboard weaving loom supplies for our art room this year. In the past, weaving has been one of my students' favorite activities. They love using their hands and doing something so tactile. We need cardboard circles for radial weavings inspired by Xenobia Bailey and cardboard rectangles for horizontal weavings inspired by Dorothy Liebes. We display them during Black History Month and Women's History Month. We have leftover colorful yarn from last year to weave with but we could use some new black yarn to create our looms. Any and all donations are appreciated and we look forward to weaving this year in the art room!
