My Project

Read aloud time is the best part of the day. I have read the book, "Wonder" to my third graders every year, and it is a favorite.

Watching students fall in love with stories as much as I have is my favorite part of my job!

R.J. Placio wrote this novel, and it is the perfect book for introducing students to tough topics. While reading this book, we talk about bullies, kindness, grit, and so much more! I know putting a copy of this book in my students' hands will help them access higher-level text. It will also enable them to be more engaged as they participate in class discussions. With their own copy of the story in their hands, they are able to grow in many reading areas such as vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.
