My Project

Our classroom theme is Wondering and Exploring Earth. We are planning to travel all around our fantastic planet! We are beginning our year studying our planet from what's inside, to its geographical features, and to the various locations we study on the maps.

Using Scholastic News, Science Spin, and DynaMath will allow my students to wonder and explore weekly what's going on around them in the different regions and biomes of the world that we will be studying this year, in addition to focusing on math concepts.

This allows them to explore the places we are studying about through the magazines as well as learn about the current events taking place in those regions. These magazines support our curriculum as well as take them to locations within our planet that give them a chance to focus on geography and science as they improve their nonfiction reading skills.
