This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom is unique in that we use flixible seating. On any given day, our little learners can be seen using tire seats, lap desks, Adirondak chairs, wobble cushions and reclining floor seats while working and playing. The current stools we have in our small group area are in poor condition. I would love to replace our old, stationary stools with wobble stools.

Studies show that when students are involved in active, fidget-friendly seating rather than rigid seating, it can improve concentration and channel excess energy into productive activities.

Wobble stools allow students to stay seated while also giving them the freedom to move around. They would be a great addition to the flexible seating options offered in our classroom.
