Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a Title I school. My students are faced with several challenges, both in and out of the classroom. My ENL class learns best through hands-on activities and in small groups, which they love! The majority of students are from single parent households and receive free breakfast and lunch. Regardless of these challenges, they still come to school eager and ready to learn! Although I may not be able to control their home life, I can definitely control their experience during the day!

Our school is a safe place where students come to learn and are inspired to be lifelong learners.

My Project

Throughout the day, my students work in small groups at their desks or tables. Sometimes, it is challenging for groups to find a place to work in the classroom without sitting on the floor.

These wobble chairs will allow students the flexibility to move around the room and work collaboratively.

Students will be able to work together in small groups anywhere in the room and engage in meaningful conversations and collaborative learning. My students learn best when they are working in small groups with teachers and peers and these stools will be a great addition to our classroom.
