Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a teacher in a low income school, with students from many different backgrounds. This year I will be teaching in a third grade ICT classroom. My students are energetic third graders, ready to surpass their goals in all subject areas! I know I can help these students do just that by creating a classroom where they can be energetic while putting their focus on the task at hand. My students come in every day with smiles on their faces ready to learn! They deserve to receive everything that can help them improve their academics, and allow them to succeed at their highest level of potential.

My Project

I would love to get my students wobble chairs and balancing balls to use instead of regular chairs. Alternative seating is going to elevate my classroom and my students in an extremely positive manner. Some of my students struggle with keeping their bodies still in their chairs, some of them have had sensory struggles therefore causing them difficulty in keeping their bodies in their seats without falling.

With these alternative seats my students will be able to constantly move their little bodies, and still remain focused on the task at hand.

Students will be able to constantly move while "sitting" allowing them to focus their energy on the work that is in front of them. Alternative seating may be the driving force for C level students to improve to an A. Alternative seating can help my students improve in all subject areas. Together we can make the difference! Please help me help my students to be the best they can be!
