My Students

My first graders are energetic and enthusiastic students. They enjoy learning and active play. They get so excited when it is time to be active and to learn new activities throughout the day.

My first graders represent many diverse ethnic backgrounds and come from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds.

There is a wide range of academic abilities in our classroom. Students are eager to learn and strive to do their best at all times. They enjoy interactive and hands-on learning.

My Project

We use whiteboards daily in our classroom. We use whiteboards for guided practice during reading workshop and math workshop. Students are able to show their thinking and share their work with a classmate and with me. The whiteboards we currently have are stained and scratched and we do not have enough whiteboards for each student.

By donating to our project you will give my students whiteboards to help improve and increase student engagement, focus, and academic achievement.

My students will be able to work around the room with partners, whole class, and in small group. They will use the magnetic whiteboards for word work during our guided reading groups to improve their literacy.
