Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students would start class every day with warm up drumming exercises performed on the requested drum pads and sticks. They will practice timing by working with a metronome. They will play single and double stroke rolls from Largo to Allegro!
Drumming involves the use of wrists, arms and legs simultaneously.
Students will then practice simple quarter note rhythms using both legs. The electric drum set is perfect because volume can be adjusted allowing other students the ability to hear their instruments! All music students are in one room. Acoustic drums are often disruptive.
