Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

“We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” - Walt Disney
My students are energetic bundles of joy that are exploring "The Why" in Kindergarten!
They are five and six-year-old boys and girls who are ready to try new things and are curious. They are compassionate and I love when they cheer each other on. We are a brand new school and appreciate any and all donations to help enhance our class and build our inventory to learn from.
My Project
In our classroom we use chart paper to make anchor charts, circle maps, graphs, and anything else the students need to be able to refer back to. Currently, we do not have a good place to create these charts, and it is difficult for all students to see well and interact with the lesson.
Having an easel with a chart holder, magnetic whiteboard, and storage will greatly improve the students' ability to see and be engaged in lessons.
By getting the information closer to the students, they will see the information better and be able to participate more frequently in the lessons by helping to write or draw the charts. This could also serve as a station during math and reading time, or be used during small groups. The students would be able to use magnets on the board or write on it. They could also use a pocket chart on the back side of the easel during station times.
