Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a framework that is used in our school. It creates a positive school culture by highlighting student’s good behavior with points.

One way that I would like to incorporate this into the classroom is by having a class store where students can use their points to “buy” prizes.

Some prizes that the students will be able to have are scented pencils, stickers, play doh and different fidgets. The items that I am requesting will all go towards rewarding students for their positive behaviors.

It has been proven that when children are acknowledged for their good behavior, it creates a more harmonious environment that fosters learning and collaboration. These rewards will do just that, provide opportunity for motivation and excitement in the classroom.

I look forward to making this project come to life with your help.
