My Students

These are unprecedented times. Never did I imagine that when my students and I said goodbye in March it would mean that it was our last day in the classroom. However, the year is not over yet!

My students and I have embarked on the distance learning journey.

We are actively engaging in all sorts of different online platforms and learning new things. My students and I participate three times a week in Zoom meetings to go over new material, and to check in with each other. In addition, I am recording lessons at home for them to view and continue to learn new material. I am amazed by their level of engagement and participation, and families' willingness to try new things.

My Project

With this machine, I will be able to create engaging materials for virtual learning. Many of the materials used for teaching had to be left in the classroom back in March.

Using a Cricut, I can create materials for my class to help engage them in art, science experiments and stories.

I can make puppets that that go along with stories that we read, have students create their own stories using the puppets created. I can help students virtually by creating learning materials that are meaningful to them.
