This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come to school every day excited to learn! They are inquisitive about the world around them. We strive to broaden their horizons and challenge their minds. We face many obstacles in our ICT classroom, from lack of classroom resources to wishing for those extra materials that would take us to the next level in our educational journey. We come together as a caring and responsible community, always mindful to respect each other. We celebrate our differences while we learn and grow together.

My Project

Wishing for a white holiday season? Help us purchase a brand-new whiteboard and markers for our classroom! Our whiteboard easel just broke. Yikes! We use the easel in countless ways. Our school implements a balanced literacy program. A integral component of writing workshop is modeling your own writing for the students. An easel is imperative to effectively demonstrate essential writing skills incorporating the visual component.

The easel is also an effective tool for cooperative learning.

Lively brainstorming sessions engage all students and motivate each to participate in a fun and immediate responsive learning environment. The applications are infinite: mathematics instruction, geography and maps, historic timelines, grammar and parts of speech modeling, identifying main idea, and of course, mind maps and graphic organizers. With your help, we can restore our classroom to its fullest potential and reach the stars! Your support can make it happen.
