My Students

I teach a wonderful group of 28 3rd graders, who are excited to learn and be back in the classroom. I am a new teacher and excited to help my students get adjusted to being back in a classroom after the unfortunate circumstances of the pandemic. That affected their educational experience and their social-emotional needs. I teach a diverse group of students, with diverse needs. These needs include students that are language learners. I teach at a Title I school, and many of my students come from low-income households. To support my students I use a lot of visuals and small group instruction.

My Project

These materials will be used in the classroom to support small group instruction. Our current board is old and scratched, which makes it difficult for students to read. Having a new board will help students to clearly see examples that support student learning. It also provides an opportunity for students to present their learning to their peers. As of right now we only have the old board to write on. Having both boards helps when we have other teachers come and support small group instruction. My students will be so ecstatic to see a new whiteboard that is legible.
