My Students

As you walk into my room, past the welcome sign on the door, you can smell the subtle aroma of peppermint and see the flickering hanging lights. The room is filled with smiles, laughter, and student collaboration. It is a classroom environment in which students are eager to learn as well as feel a sense of pride and acceptance.

My students show up to school everyday with a smile on their face and a pure excitement of learning.

They are remarkable! It is a true inspiration to see them develop daily into leaders that are growing personally and academically! I am so lucky to be a part of their educational journey with them!

My Project

As we advance into a more dominant technology driven classroom, the needs for our classrooms also change. I have learned throughout my years of teaching that the constant struggle to find “just the right” space and setup for our students to store and charge their chromebooks quickly becomes a jungle of tangled cords and wires. No matter how efficient you think you have made the area and ritual/routine, it always seems to become the eye sore of your classroom. I pride myself in giving my students an extremely well organized classroom that promotes social and emotional health, as well as an environment that fosters a love of learning.

This project will allow me the opportunity to improve efficiency and reduce stress and clutter in the classroom.

This chromebook storage and charging cart would help provide students with an easy way to keep their devices safe and off the floor. Students will feel a sense of pride and ownership taking over the responsibility of making sure that the Chromebooks are stored properly and charging in the organized area.
