This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are WILD about learning, but access to specific materials to aid in their learning process is scarce. The school is located in a high poverty, needy area in the Bronx, NY. Because of such poverty and need, the majority of my students receive free or reduced lunch, and our school is categorized as Title I. Please help my students work towards their learning goals by providing whatever you can. Your generous donations will help enhance student achievement in my classroom. Many thanks in advance!

My Project

My classroom is in need of three more wireless headphones so that ALL students have access to listening to, reading along with and comprehending audio texts. This will complete one of the many, wonderful literacy centers that I offer to help develop reading readiness skills. Because we are missing just three headphones, none of my students are able to use this center fairly. Incorporating a complete listening center during literacy centers provides students with a different, more motivating way to absorb the meaning behind texts, rather than the traditional way of reading books. Please help me provide an abundance of effective learning tools for my students!
