My Students

Computers in the room, but what good are they without Internet access? I have recently received computers for my classroom, but they need wireless adapters to get them hooked up with Internet access.

My students come from low socio-economic status households.

Many do not have computers at home. The computers given to the schools are outdated and the contract to fix them has expired. That being said, the number of computers in my room were scarce. I have added 5 computers to the room, but need to make them wireless so that the students may use them with a purpose.

My Project

By making the computers wireless, my students will be able to conduct Internet research as well as complete projects such as creating webpages. Creating a webpage is part of their exit project to get out of the 8th grade. With this project, students will learn how to upload photos and documents as well as create links to other pages. In addition, the students would like to work on their yearbook which is a completely internet based project.

Please help our room become completely Internet ready.

We will be able to create our yearbook, do research, and complete web based projects. Your donation would be greatly appreciated and would be used with students for years to come.
