This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Put away the pencil and paper, today we are using technology! My students need more than a textbook to get their imagination and creativity going. Why confine them to the limited resources I have available in the classroom?

The students I teach attend a Title 1 school where 90% of students are on free or reduced price lunch.

Many of them come from immigrant families and are economically disadvantaged. Most of these students have never had any exposure to the English language or to the use of technology.

My Project

Every student has a different way of learning. With an iPad, I will be able to meet the needs of each one of my students' learning styles. The iPad will be used during whole class instruction to play educational videos on Discovery Learning, Brain Pop, and Study Jams. During Differentiated Instruction, I will meet the needs of each student by assigning them a task to complete on the iPad at their level of instruction. It will also be implemented at a center where groups of students can practice the weekly Math Benchmark and view and compare specimens on a virtual microscope.

By putting an iPad into action in my class, No Child Will Be Left Behind!

Every students' need will be met and they each will have a chance to view the world around us with different eyes.
