My Students

Most of my students come from low-income neighborhoods and attend a 100+-year-old school with very old facilities. They know they do not have the best when it comes to facilities, but I would like to give them the best materials possible!

They want to learn but do not always have the most current resources and technology that will help them be successful.

These students span from 9th - 12th grade and typically struggle with science. Many have special needs including learning disabilities. They deserve to have the best tools and tech available to help them achieve academically.

My Project

The components for this project, including the Raspberry Pi and 1080P camera, will allow my students to access online live streams of their 3D prints to check on their progress. The additional technology will allow remote access to the 3D printer. This advancement will allow my students to take control of their projects, without leaving anything to chance.

By having a Raspberry Pi and a high-definition camera attached to the 3D printer, my students will be able to remotely control their projects in real-time.

This will greatly reduce waste as well as improve print quality. Ultimately, the students will learn to take ownership of their projects and can have more control during the learning process.
