My Students

My students are amazing, marvelous, and challenging on many levels. Our new reality of virtual learning comes with its own set of advantages and challenges and my sholars are rising to the challenge.

It is a journey to discover how best to serve every single one of my students and get them ready for college and for life, and I am enjoying the ride.

Our school is a Title I school in Atlanta where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of our students are facing many socioeconomic challenges that hinder their academic success. As I observe them via the lens of our Zoom sessions, enthused in a lesson, I regain my conviction that a future is possible and achievable for all my students.

My Project

After an absence of almost 2 whole years, we get to see each other again and learn together face to face. The cleaning wipes will help clean after ourselves and ensure that the common supplies are cleaned right after use. The pencils and dry erase board will allow for whole-class activities while allowing each student to work from their own desks.

The limitations of Covid-19 will not hinder our abilities to thrive with our learning.

With your assistance, our classroom will be a safe area where parents will freely send their children and where our students can competently learn.
