My students are just learning their numbers and letters and need dry erase boards so they can practice over and over again without wasting paper.
My students are 5 and 6 years old.
They respond to using creative ways to write. It is important to me to help these young minds understand the importance of not wasting resources, such as paper. My kids are very open to learning new ways to learn! Writing on a dry erase board allows them to fix any mistakes in a fun way.
My Project
With a dry erase board for each student we will be able to practice writing letters, numbers and eventually words. Being able to carry a dry erase board from location to location allows for learning to continue in multiple areas. My kids love having items that are not common in their lives. Dry erase boards will provide them that. Using a dry erase board is more fun than sitting at a desk and writing on paper.
Giving each student their own dry erase board allows them to take ownership of their own work.
Each student will have the opportunity to take their dry erase board and practice writing in comfortable settings instead of always being tied to a desk. Being comfortable while practicing writing can make a huge difference in whether they enjoy writing or not.
