Our school is diverse-full of inspiring students who persevere daily against many odds. Our school has many students receiving free/reduced breakfast and lunch. Some miss the most important daily essentials to help keep them focused and full!
Autism is an extremely challenging disability that affects every aspect of my students' lives.
My classroom is made up of eight young people with autism. We thank you!! Our bellies would be empty if it weren’t for all the special donors out there to support us!
My Project
By having food available, my students will stay full and focused, so they can pay more attention to their school work and complete their daily tasks. This will help increase their motivation day in and day out consistently through the school day.
“If we can conquer space, we can conquer childhood hunger” - Buzz Aldrin
My students come from many diverse backgrounds and providing the basic needs for all of my students is one of my top priorities. I believe that my students benefit greatly from having a daily snack. My students will learn better with a full stomach and providing them with this need will help increase their energy!
A snack in the morning and/or before going home is exactly what they need to stay full and focused.
But first, some basic life essentials are necessary to keep our classroom running smoothly and to keep our tummies full!
