My Project

My students are very unique. They come from various cultures, backgrounds, and countries; including Africa, Ukraine, Venezuela, Columbia, Dominican Republic, and Jamaica. When they are amongst each other they are able to discuss their cultures and celebrate their unique differences. This is what makes the Winter Wonderland Ice Cream Festival the perfect opportunity for students to come together and create a new tradition.

The items I am requesting will make a difference in the scholars learning by allowing all students to come together and engage in a non-academic social setting where their social skills are enhanced.

Some of the items requested includes sprinkles, cookies, chocolate syrup, and ice cream bowls. These items will allow students to create a special treat while socializing with their multicultural peers.

Due to the rise in migrant students joining our school community, this project will foster strong relationships and create a safe space for all students which can in turn be beneficial within the classroom. Students will learn the importance of building close connections and having a place where they feel they truly belong.
