My Project

MLCPA is a public, all-boys school in Houston's 5th Ward. Our annual Literacy Night promotes a culture of authentic reading & writing in the daily lives of our incredible students and families. Not only can they bond as a family through literacy-based games and activities at the event, but also learn strategies to keep literacy blooming outside school! Though I teach high school, this event will service grades 6th-12th!

Our students thrive when challenged, so competitive games with enticing, yet educational prizes are a must!

You will be providing our boys with not only engagement but incentive to find joy in learning and growth!

Mrs. Laforet Mickey Leland College Preparatory for Men Grades 9-12
