Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a variety of materials that we will use throughout the holiday season! I have requested paper bags, glitter, markers, and laminating sheets that we will use for our annual holiday craft! The students will create their own "snow globe" with these materials, and they will use these as a gift to their families!

I have also requested materials such as mallets and a microphone to support our whole-group learning.

We will use the mallets as tools to use on our touch-screen boards. We find that using these mallets are more effective than students using their hands. The microphone will be used in reading lessons. As students gain their confidence in reading words independently, I will give them the opportunity to speak into the microphone to read their word!

Last, I am requesting Goldfish as a little snack to support our littlest learners, as a snack can always help on those long days leading up to winter break!
