Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items that are being requested are for the students. The items will be used as incentives that can later be taken home as a holiday gift. These holiday gifts will make an enormous difference in their young lives. In class, we will be having a Winter Holiday Unit. Students will be learning how different cultures celebrate Christmas around the world. We will be studying the different holidays.

In addition, the toys I am asking for will be used as an incentive for the students who have completed the reading unit and have also met their MOY (middle-of-the-year) fluency words per minute.

The incentive will be given once the student meets their fluency goal. The toy reward will motivate the students to work and read to meet their fluency goal for the end of the winter unit. Once they do, the girls will receive a doll and the boys will receive an action figure.

Help me make this holiday season a memory they will always look back on and treasure.
