This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is for our FOURTH year giving winter care packages to struggling students. You guys rock so much. It's amazing we get to do this. My students are resilient, hardworking, and full of potential. Many of them face challenges outside of the classroom, yet they show up every day ready to learn. As winter approaches, staying warm and having access to basic hygiene essentials can make a significant difference in their well-being and ability to focus in school.

This project will provide students with winter care packages, including warm socks, gloves, blankets, and hygiene items like shampoo, deodorant, and hand sanitizer.

These essentials help ensure they are comfortable, healthy, and prepared to engage in their education without worrying about basic needs.

My goal is to support my students holistically—ensuring they not only have the academic tools to succeed but also the personal care items that contribute to their confidence and well-being. Every student deserves to feel cared for, and this project will help create a sense of security and belonging in our school community.
