My Project

I am a mental health counselor at Winnetka Elementary School. My school needs a Wellness Center! My project is to create a Wellness Center on campus to help support our students who have increased emotional challenges as we continue to move out of the pandemic.

The room will provide a welcoming, calming environment for students to express and regulate their emotions, feel safe on campus, and allow room for creativity!

We will have yoga mats, soothing sounds, calming visuals, flexible seating, and sensory art, games, and activities to help our students relax, rejuvenate, and be ready to learn.
