My Project

I am writing to request support for an enriching educational project aimed at my elementary special education students in New York City. This hands-on and visual experience will profoundly impact my students' learning, particularly those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

This initiative focuses on providing caterpillar kits to each class to facilitate the observation of the butterfly's lifecycle, fostering both academic and therapeutic benefits for these students.

As you may know, children with autism benefit from hands-on, sensory-rich learning experiences. Introducing caterpillar kits into our curriculum aims to create an engaging and inclusive environment where students can explore science concepts while also developing patience, observation, and empathy.

My students are unique because of their needs, but they are special because they are simply children. They are curious, smart, and playful. They deserve the opportunity to experience this project. I am committed to ensuring all my students have access to high-quality educational experiences.
