My Students
Many students have parents that speak a home language other than English. Others have never been out of the city. Vocabulary and experience are more attainable when a picture speaks a thousand words. The LCD projector brings rich colors and examples of words from around the world.
I have a great class this year that is very blended by race and learning.
We are located in California and face a diverse population and with it comes the challenge of teaching the wide variety of learning. I strive to challenge those students who are prepared with interesting learning projects while inspiring others to challenge themselves more and be all they can be.
My Project
The LCD projector I have asked for will allow me to present colorful pictures, video or drawings of words, visual concepts, or stories that we are currently learning about. Studies demonstrate the ability to learn more with pictures to go with the words being taught. We struggle each year to provide the technology for our students to meet the learning needs of so many. This tool aids tremendously in the classroom to provide real world aids to learning.
As I said above, this one piece of equipment can provide learning for a student to take home and share with his or her guardian.
It may inspire students to greatness. A real picture of a story we read in Language Arts or the video that demonstrates an experiment I do not have the resources or space to perform may inspire a student to greatness. This is what this piece of equipment can do for my students!
