This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every day young ones are experiencing trauma that has a deep impact on their lives, both in and outside of the classroom. By having a HP Laptop to attend online professional development and learn more about supporting learners, developing awareness of signs of danger to be on the look out for - I will be able to better support all learners whom I engage with daily. The world of education has not become easy in the last decade, to better support learners, as an educator, I want to nurture and care for the whole child. This includes their emotional and social well-being. In doing so, I must be aware of the latest research, best practices, and the struggles our young ones are dealing with. I will use the HP laptop to attend professional development workshops, conferences, and engage in discussions with other educators who also seek to support learners and alleviate the deep emotional scars that so many students carry with them.
