Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our special small school has amazing students that love to read! They can't wait to go to the library every week and get lost in a new book. Each student that visits the library should be able to find books that are like mirrors for them, where they can see a reflection of themselves in the characters. On the contrary, they should also be able to find books that offer them a whole new perspective in life and a way to understand others. I hope my students will make meaningful connections to these books and help them develop confidence in themselves and empathy for others.
