Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students can explore wind energy affordably and easily. This kit, allows young scientists to test a variety of blade designs, generate electricity (0.5 –3 V range), and lift weights. The Basic Wind Experiment Kit has all the materials needed to start understanding wind power.

This generous grant will provide everything my students need to meet the goals of this project.

The classroom pack includes materials for eight groups of 2 to 4 students each. Each group independently assembles hubs and blade sets. To evaluate designs, students use one of three teacher-built “test stations” that include a tower, base, and generator.
