My Students

I teach a wonderful group of students who are so motivated to learn. They get so excited every week about coming to science class. My students come from many different backgrounds. The school is a Title I school which qualify all of them for free breakfast and lunch. Most of them are recent immigrants and are English language learners. I try my best to give them the necessary vocabulary needed to understand the science concepts they are learning. I also provide hands on activities that most of them have never had the opportunity to do.

In my classroom, my scientists work together in groups, learn to follow directions, and solve real world problems.

My Project

Having this wind turbine kit will allow my students to learn and have fun at the same time. Hands-on activities keep all students engaged, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. I teach all levels of students. This kit is a fun way to learn about wind energy as a renewable energy source. I will be teaching my students about climate change, energy transfer, electricity, and renewable resources. Students will learn how important it is to care for our environment for a sustainable future. My students are always excited to enter the science room and this kit will be a very motivating experience.
