Wimpy Kids Rule!

My students need new Wimpy Kid books in the series, as they have worn out our current copies!

My Students

We are a very small public school library, serving about 360 students, with 85% in poverty. Serving grades Pre-K thru 6 keeps our library very busy! Many of our students are struggling readers. I believe every child can learn, and I try to provide support in the library that can fulfill that idea.

About 35% - 40% of our students are from different countries all over the world.

While we have an aging school built in the 60's, we keep going. My students really love books with humor and great graphic art work. All of our students love the Wimpy Kid books! Many of our students rarely go a public library, due to lack of parent involvement and/or transportation issues. For many of our students, our library is the only library they ever have access to. All my students have worn out all of our copies! So many library books are lost each school year, and never paid for. This really affects the small budget I am given, and it's a constant problem trying to decide what to buy each year. My budget was drastically cut several years ago, and has never recovered.

My Project

I have chosen some replacement copies for our worn-out Wimpy Kid books. These new books will be a welcome resource for all our students. It will be so great to have the complete series, and these books will last for years! Sadly many of our books had to be retired and now we are running out. Any chance to get books in students hands is a success!!!

Please help us bring our Wimpy Kid books back to life!

The new library books will be a great addition, and will last for years. All these books will be quickly read, and loved by our students. Please help out students stay excited about reading! Many of our reluctant readers will read these books, over and over. Wimpy Kids rule!!!
