Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Westland Hialeah Senior High is a Title I school with an increasing number of students that qualify for free or reduced lunch. During the past 18 months, my students have experienced extreme loss due to COVID-19. I'm committed to helping my students return to a sense of normalcy with renewed energy. I take great pride in providing a stimulating educational environment for our students with intellectual disabilities (IND). While they are self-contained for academic courses, they experience typical high school electives and activities.

My Project

W. Senior High is a Title I school with an increasing number of students that qualify for free and reduced lunch. During the past 18 months, students have experienced extreme loss due to COVID-19. The faculty is committed to helping our students return to a sense of normalcy complete with a renewed energy and improved learning. This is only possible through the implementation of high interest instructional activities.

Our school requires that all students wear uniforms and ID's so that we can identify our students at all times.

Due to the pandemic, the majority of our parents can only afford the bare minimum of supplies for their families. So with the uniform closet we can supply our students with the uniforms they need.
