This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Remember when you were excited to go to school? That feeling that anything was possible, and that great things were just waiting to be discovered. Our kindergarten class is there now, and we want to keep them moving in that direction. It’s our job to get them to believe in themselves; for you at home and for us in school. That is why every day when we walk into our classroom, we are ready to be Amazed, because we believe in our kids and know that anyone if not all of them can make a difference. They come in with a passion in their eyes ready for what the day will bring. As their teachers, we strive to provide them with lessons that will keep them engaged and always wanting more. A way for us to do that is to have the right resources that will capture their attention. There is only so much we can do alone, but if we work together the world is at their fingertips. Let’s build their tomorrow Today!

My Project

A document camera is one of the easiest and quickest ways to integrate technology in our classroom. Many children in our classroom are visual and hands-on learners, having a document camera will be beneficial for those learners. Visual learners can also benefit from the use of a document camera by seeing small items, text, demonstrations in a much bigger way. Hands-on learners can also benefit from the use of a document camera by allowing them to be the ones placing objects or items under the document camera and explaining what they are showing. Another benefit of using a document camera is the decrease in copying expense. Schools are always looking at ways to maximize the financial resources that are available. A classroom document camera can drastically reduce the amount of copying a teacher has to do. Students will have the opportunity to see their own ideas come to life, which is amazing.
