Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students have worked so well for the past 3 weeks on a project that asked them to design our classroom logo. This work, directly connected to our social studies and project time curricula, demonstrates their creativity, ingenuity, and their ability to create symbols that represent the essence of their classroom community as it is now or as they wish it to be in the near future. Our early work in building our classroom community will have a long lasting effect for the remainder of the school year and beyond.

The materials such as the Natural Accents Leaves Classroom Carpet we are requesting will support the students in finalizing and professionalizing their creative work to further enhance the products they have built and the learning that went behind it.

We are planning on them using the logos they have created to make classroom t-shirts and stickers that they can wear with pride and motivation for the learning in our classroom. Some of the other materials being requested will also enhance our classroom environment and provide an even better learning experience for the rest of the year. Cushions that create more comfortable seating during our lessons, and games for our students to play together to keep building community and joy for collaboration, are part of our requests to keep our students engaged and supported.

Our students have been so excited about our school work so far, and with your support, we know we will be able to maintain and improve their level of engagement and motivation to study and learn further.
